I am part of a local initiative calle SCIP - Seaford Contemporary Illustrators and Printmakers. This year we hosted an exhibition in the iconic South Hill Barn Seaford, it was the first time the barn had been open to the public. We put on an exhibition hosting 30 of the UK's top Illustrators and Printmakers including Sir Quentin Blake, Donna Wilson to name just a couple! I was delighted to exhibit alongside them with my piece Deep Sea Disco. It was an epic event hosting over 3,500 visitors, showcasing film, animation and offering a full lecture and workshop program. It was a huge event, challenging as the venue had no electrics or running water and we built the entire cinema and exhibition stands! We all needed a lie down afterwards!
The Pecha Kucha website has now published my talk so feel free to have a listen here! If you have an opportunity to visit one of these inspiring evenings locally to you be sure to make the time as it's fascinating to hear the variety of all the different speakers.
So last night I presented my work at Pecha Kucha Brighton. A fast fire japanese format for presenting, 20 slides with 20 seconds for each slide. It was a fantastic opportunity. An inspiring evening listening to the wide variety of speakers on the theme of 'Made Up' Check out some of the top talks on Pecha Kucha website here.
